Tax Data & Technology Specialist (Bangkok Based, Relocation provided)
As a Tax Data & Technology Specialist at Agoda, you will be based in Bangkok and report to the Tax Data & Technology Associate Director. This role is part of a rapidly growing Tax Team within the Finance department, responding to the evolving tax landscape for digital services. You will collaborate closely with Product, Tech, Supply, Legal, and Senior Leadership teams at Agoda, as well as with sister brand companies and the US parent company.
Your primary responsibility will be to own the end-to-end analysis and implementation of global digital platform tax reporting regimes, including the EU’s DAC7 and similar data reporting frameworks emerging globally. This involves translating tax regulations into actionable business and data requirements, defining data attributes and schemas, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and scalable data reporting compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Law, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in tax, tax technology, regulatory reporting, or data compliance, preferably within a large tech or digital platform company or a Big 4 professional services firm. Proficiency in querying and validating large datasets using SQL and common BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is essential. Strong cross-functional coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment are also required.
