TAC Engineer
Arista Networks is seeking a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Engineer to join our world-class support team. In this role, you will provide post-sales technical support for Arista's data center and campus networking products and solutions. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and innovative environment.
As a TAC Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include responding to customer inquiries via telephone or email, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and recommending corrective actions. You will also recreate customer network issues in a dedicated lab environment as needed and document customer communications and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and development.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency with TCP/IP and core networking concepts and protocols such as ARP, BGP, DHCP, and OSPF. Experience with networking troubleshooting tools like IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark is essential. Programming or scripting proficiency in languages such as C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, or shell is required, along with familiarity with Linux OS navigation. Knowledge of containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and SDN networking concepts is also desirable. A minimum of a BS in a technical field, preferably in Computer Science or Networking, is required. Industry certifications and prior customer-facing experience are preferred.
