Systems Engineer- VeloCloud SD-WAN
Arista Networks is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in VeloCloud SD-WAN to join our team of industry experts who pioneered cloud-delivered SD-WAN solutions. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with skilled SD-WAN and networking engineers to integrate VeloCloud technologies with Arista's portfolio, aligning solutions with the broader objectives of our enterprise and service provider clients.
In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to the sales organization, driving successful sales of VeloCloud SD-WAN and campus solutions through channel partners and directly to end-customers. Your responsibilities will include delivering presentations and demonstrations, participating in sales calls, and architecting and designing VeloCloud SD-WAN networks. You will also lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and sales proposals, translating complex customer WAN requirements into comprehensive network solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS/CS/CE technical degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7+ years of pre-sales experience in data centers, campus, WAN technologies, or cloud services. Experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Networking Engineer in the WAN networking space is essential, along with hands-on experience managing POCs, field trials, and beta programs. Expertise in areas such as Ethernet/LAN switching, IPSec, IP Routing (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, and SD-WAN technologies is required. Familiarity with cloud services and automation tools like REST API, Python scripting, and Ansible is a plus.
Arista offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary range of $125,000 to $182,000, depending on work location and experience. Employees in sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista's Sales Incentive Plan, which includes commissions and discretionary bonuses.
