The 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Court Information Technology department in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves administering and maintaining the court's physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and enterprise storage infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director and will collaborate with various departments to ensure the efficient operation of the court's IT systems.

Key responsibilities include installing, updating, configuring, and troubleshooting system hardware and software to ensure optimal network performance and sufficient storage capacity. The Systems Engineer will manage Active Directory domains, implement security and network controls, and oversee backup processes and disaster recovery procedures. Additionally, the role involves managing data storage on storage area networks (SAN), virtualizing servers to improve scalability, and developing implementation plans for new technologies.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with an emphasis on computer science coursework. A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required, including proficiency in MS Active Directory, VMware software, Windows server and desktop operating systems, SCCM, Veeam, scripting, SAN technology, Cisco networking, and network security. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with project management abilities, are essential. The ability to conduct research into system issues, prepare detailed reports, and work independently while prioritizing various demands is also necessary.

The position offers a salary range of $63,856.00 to $79,830.40 annually, depending on experience.
