Systems Engineer - Campus (Wired and Wireless)
Arista Networks is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in campus wired and wireless networking solutions. This role involves collaborating with a team of industry experts to design and implement innovative network solutions that enhance performance and efficiency for enterprise and commercial clients. The position is based in Santa Clara, California, and requires customer-facing technical sales experience.
Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor to customers by gathering requirements, qualifying opportunities, and designing solutions for new and existing clients in Northern California. The role involves conducting product presentations on Arista's Data Center Networking and Cognitive Campus solutions, including Wi-Fi, CloudVision for network automation, security solutions, and real-time network observability tools. Additionally, the Systems Engineer will validate network designs and deployments using Arista's latest solutions, offer design guidelines, and collaborate with Professional Services to provide recommendations and turn-key solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation, focusing on campus and Wi-Fi solutions. Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including 802.1x and NAC integrations, is required. Hands-on experience in designing campus and leaf-spine network architectures is essential. Preferred qualifications include network industry certifications such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, or ACE-L7, experience with overlay technologies like EVPN/VxLAN, and proficiency in network automation using Python and Ansible. Strong writing skills for creating informative white papers on technology and products are also highly desired.
Arista offers a competitive base salary ranging from $131,000 to $184,000, with additional compensation including equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
