Divergent is seeking a Supervisor for Manufacturing Development Operations to lead the Additive Manufacturing Development Technician team in Torrance, California. This role focuses on overseeing the development, assembly, testing, and operation of laser powder bed fusion machines, ensuring that assembly and test milestones are achieved in collaboration with other development teams.

The Supervisor will manage shop floor activities, including scheduling, workflow, training, and material management. Responsibilities encompass leading technicians in assembling and testing components, maintaining tool management and 5S standardization, resolving machine issues during build and testing phases, and providing feedback on machine design and operational processes. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborating with the machine development team to enhance machine reliability and performance.

Candidates should have at least seven years of hands-on experience in build, new product introduction, or manufacturing on the shop floor, along with five years of experience leading a team of technicians. A high school diploma is required, and proficiency in MS software and Enterprise Resource Planning tools is essential. Hands-on skills in fabrication, assembly, testing, and rework, as well as experience with hand and power tools, troubleshooting, and crane and rigging operations, are necessary. Familiarity with shop floor best practices, including 5S, is also important.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $116,420 to $160,080, along with a comprehensive compensation package that includes an equity plan and discretionary results-based incentive bonuses.
