Student Trainee Corporate Tech
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm, is offering a two-month student trainee position in their Corporate Tech practice group in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for law students nearing the completion of their studies who are interested in the intersection of law and technology.
As a student trainee, you will be fully integrated into the practice, working alongside experienced professionals on real cases. Your responsibilities will include drafting notes, advice, and correspondence, conducting legal research, attending meetings and hearings, and translating legal documents. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in training sessions through the Clifford Chance Academy and engage in social events within the office, providing a comprehensive understanding of both the work and the firm's culture.
Applicants should be ambitious and proactive, with a strong interest in the legal aspects of technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Candidates must be in the final stages of their Dutch law studies (bachelor's or master's degree). Fluency in Dutch is required, as the role involves working with Dutch legal documents and clients.
The firm offers a monthly internship allowance of €1,000, along with lunch and travel reimbursements (second-class public transport, provided it is not covered by a student travel product). This compensation package reflects Clifford Chance's commitment to supporting its interns during their professional development.
Clifford Chance fosters an open and inclusive culture, valuing diversity as a strength. The Amsterdam office, located in a historic building near Amsterdam Centraal, is home to over 300 legal and non-legal professionals. The firm's culture is informal, approachable, pragmatic, and slightly unconventional, blending international expertise with a touch of Amsterdam's unique character.
