Strategic Account Manager – Singapore
As a Strategic Account Manager at Agoda, you will serve as the primary liaison between our accommodation partners and the company, focusing on nurturing relationships with key supply partners to drive mutual growth. This role is integral to Agoda's success, as our accommodation partners are central to our operations. The Strategic Accounts Management (SAM) team specializes in account management, offering strategic advice to help partners excel on Agoda’s commercial platform. With a presence in over 50 locations worldwide, the team collaborates globally to bring together diverse perspectives and innovative solutions.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing long-lasting relationships with key supply partners to enable Agoda’s growth in the region. Your day-to-day activities will include maintaining regular and meaningful engagement with these partners, analyzing large datasets to propose tailored solutions, and leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills to identify new opportunities for business growth. Additionally, you will train and inform clients about new and existing technologies, tools, and models, prepare materials for partner meetings, and respond to partner requests in a timely and effective manner. You will also gain buy-in from relevant stakeholders to execute strategies and help launch promotional campaigns to enhance productivity and maintain Agoda’s competitiveness. Furthermore, you will leverage product offerings to match market demands, maximize the conversion of passive customers into active ones, deliver on country KPIs, growth targets, and strategic initiatives, and support the Area Manager in preparing country reports for senior stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you should possess a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in business development and/or account management. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders are essential. Experience in the internet or e-commerce sectors is preferred, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Being a team player with a professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic is crucial. Proven success in acquiring, building, and maintaining long-term customer relationships is important, as is the ability to adapt well to change and work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to create new, innovative ideas and strong proficiency in English are also required.
