As a Strategic Account Executive, Education at ezCater, you will be pivotal in driving revenue and nurturing strong client relationships within a portfolio of 40 to 60 prioritized accounts in the Education sector. Your role involves developing and executing comprehensive account plans to acquire new orderers and locations, while promoting product adoption and maximizing existing spend. You will manage end-to-end account relationships, ensuring full utilization of ezCater's solutions by collaborating with product specialists as needed. Identifying new sales opportunities through self-prospecting and handling inbound leads will be essential to meet sales targets. By engaging strategically with accounts, you will help implement solutions tailored to industry-specific procurement challenges.

Your key responsibilities include building and executing account plans aimed at acquiring new orderers, locations, and product adoption, either in new or existing account relationships. You will own account relationships from end to end, driving full adoption and utilization of ezCater solutions. Delivering accurate weekly reports on pipeline and customer spend adoption, including account status updates and insights learned during deployment and account maintenance, will be part of your duties. Providing strategic account engagement to help customers implement solutions that address industry-specific procurement and food-for-work challenges is crucial. You will advise customers on best practices to accelerate spend adoption and focus on automating service needs, collaborating with Product and Technical teams to develop solutions that increase adoption. Additionally, you will relay market needs and requirements back to internal ezCater teams, including Product, Technical, and Category Management teams, and represent ezCater at various customer-facing events, such as industry-focused conferences and tradeshows.

To qualify for this role, you should have over five years of sales experience selling to Fortune 1000 senior leadership. Experience selling into Education entities with knowledge of purchasing cooperatives and tax exemption requirements is essential. You should have a proven track record in driving and accelerating spend adoption by advising customers on best practices for using ezCater solutions. Experience selling to procurement and/or supply chain roles is required. Proficiency in G-Suite, CRMs (e.g., and other systems is necessary. Experience in customer-facing communication, including leading in-person or virtual meetings, product demonstrations, or trainings, is important. Demonstrated success in identifying, prioritizing, developing, and growing a book of strategic customer accounts is expected. The ability to travel up to 25% of the year, including Sales Kick Off, Together Weeks, and customer visits when applicable, is required.

The national cash compensation for this role consists of a base salary and a variable component, totaling on-target earnings (OTE) of $120,000 to $150,000 per year. An additional target bonus is also part of the compensation package. Please note that final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and region, and may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits such as equity, 401K, or medical, dental, or vision insurance.
