Steering Systems Calibration Senior Engineer
As a Senior Engineer in Steering Systems Controls & Electronics at Lucid Motors, you will play a pivotal role in developing, building, calibrating, and validating systems responsible for chassis and vehicle dynamics control. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with various engineering teams to create world-class vehicle dynamics functions from concept to production.
Your primary responsibilities will include the application and calibration of electronic power steering systems, focusing on safety and performance attributes. You will work with Vehicle Controls, Vehicle Electronics, and Vehicle Dynamics teams to build, test, and calibrate prototype controllers in both vehicle and virtual environments. Additionally, you will manage system-level design validation plans, encompassing virtual, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and vehicle-based activities, as well as homologation processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a relevant Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics discipline, or equivalent experience, along with over four years of automotive experience. Strong expertise in steering systems calibration or validation, proficiency with Vector tools such as CANape, CANalyzer, and CDMStudio, and a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics theory are essential. Hands-on experience in prototype development and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and requirements management tools are also required.
