Staff Technical Program Manager, Vehicle Programs
Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager for Vehicle Programs to lead the cross-functional development of luxury electric vehicles from conceptual design to market introduction. This role involves collaborating with teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Design, and Finance to ensure technical maturity, timing discipline, and financial stewardship. The position is based in Southfield, MI, with potential opportunities in Phoenix, AZ, or Casa Grande, AZ.
Key responsibilities include translating product strategy into executable program plans, aligning with various departments to prioritize features, timing, resource allocation, and investment decisions. The role requires proactive management of the technical product description, evaluation of design and engineering decisions with the Program Chief Engineer, and ensuring compliance with vehicle-level performance objectives. Additionally, the manager will oversee vehicle financial and budgetary activities, coordinate build configurations, and review vehicle test plans to ensure production readiness.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in technical leadership, system engineering, or technical program management, with more than 10 years in the automotive industry. Experience leading a full vehicle program from concept to launch is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage technical product descriptions and schedules are required. Familiarity with systems engineering, project management principles, and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets is also necessary.
