Staff Site Reliability Engineer
The Staff Site Reliability Engineer at EarnIn will lead the company's transition to AI-driven reliability engineering. This role involves defining and implementing AI strategies to enhance on-call processes, incident response, alert triage, postmortems, and production investigations across SRE and product engineering teams. The engineer will establish SLO-driven standards and resilience patterns to enable rapid and safe product deployment.
Key responsibilities include setting a reliability strategy centered on AI, defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services, and utilizing AI to identify trends, predict capacity risks, and generate reliability scorecards. The role also involves redesigning the incident lifecycle with AI-assisted processes, leading high-severity incident responses, and developing AI-driven alert correlation and triage systems to minimize noise and expedite root-cause identification. Additionally, the engineer will build AI agents to automate runbook responses and integrate AI-first operations into product engineering workflows.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in SRE, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, with a proven track record of improving reliability and operational excellence at scale. Experience in applying AI/LLMs to operational workflows in production, such as alert triage, runbook automation, and incident investigation, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Go, deep observability experience with tools like Datadog, and solid infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform and Kubernetes are required. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and experience in fintech or regulated environments are advantageous.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $252,000 to $308,000, plus equity and benefits. This is a hybrid role based in Mountain View, requiring in-office work two days a week.
