BetterHelp is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science & Analytics team. As the world's largest online therapy service, BetterHelp facilitates millions of interactions between therapists and members monthly, aiming to make mental health care more accessible. In this position, you will design, prototype, and productionize scalable machine learning models. Responsibilities include developing frameworks and pipelines for processing large datasets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate models into production, and building end-to-end reusable pipelines from data acquisition to model output delivery. Additionally, you will mentor junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in machine learning platform systems, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in distributed computing, shell scripting, and building CI/CD pipelines is essential. Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS Lambda, ECS, ECR, and Sagemaker is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to mentor junior team members are also important for success in this role.

BetterHelp offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision coverage.
