Staff/Lead PostgreSQL Database Administrator (Bangkok based, Relocation Provided)

Agoda is seeking a Staff/Lead PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join its Data department in Bangkok, Thailand. This role offers relocation support and involves leading the PostgreSQL technical strategy to ensure the scalability, integrity, and security of Agoda's database infrastructure. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team dedicated to enhancing data utilization across the company.

Key responsibilities include administering and proactively monitoring PostgreSQL servers to maintain 24/7 uptime across multiple data centers. The role also involves troubleshooting, performance tuning, and collaborating with operations staff and external entities to review database solutions and address technical issues.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience in PostgreSQL, particularly in OLTP environments. Proficiency in database high availability, replication technology, performance tuning, database design, ER diagrams, and SQL is essential. Experience in deploying and managing PostgreSQL clusters to ensure high availability and scalability is also required.
