Staff Global Supply Manager - Casting & Extrusions
Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager to lead the sourcing and management of casting and extrusion commodities. This role is integral to Lucid's mission of delivering luxury electric vehicles by ensuring a robust and efficient supply chain. The position is based in Southfield, Michigan, and involves close collaboration with various internal teams to meet the company's high standards for quality and performance.
The Staff Global Supply Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with qualified suppliers to meet Lucid's expectations and timelines. Key duties include creating and analyzing requests for quotations, negotiating favorable contracts covering parts pricing and tooling costs, and managing supplier development and tooling timelines. The role also involves overseeing part availability for prototype builds and production, as well as maintaining overall supplier relationships to address commercial issues effectively. Traveling 15-25% to perform business and program reviews with suppliers is expected.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of eight years' experience in purchasing, supply chain, or engineering, particularly in stamping and metals. An understanding of body design and experience in sourcing commodities such as exterior and structural stampings, castings, extrusions, and aluminum sheets are essential. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are required, along with proficiency in tools like Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems such as SAP. The ability to creatively and effectively address unforeseen problems is also important.
Lucid Motors offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $116,600 to $171,050 annually. Additional benefits encompass medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. Eligible candidates may also participate in Lucid's equity program and discretionary annual incentive program, subject to company performance and individual contributions.
