Staff Engineer

Graphcore is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to join its System Management team, which plays a pivotal role in developing interfaces that manage system states for both internal and external customers. As a leader in AI compute innovation, Graphcore is dedicated to advancing hardware, software, and systems infrastructure to drive the next generation of AI breakthroughs.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle of the rack management solution, encompassing implementation, automated testing, integration, and ensuring production readiness. Your duties will include configuring and testing new Graphcore AI hardware and systems using continuous deployment and infrastructure-as-code methodologies in various data centers. Additionally, you will collaborate with Datacenter Operations Engineers to maintain optimal performance of AI systems and address any operational issues that arise.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field. Essential qualifications include experience with RESTful API development, containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker or Podman, and managing production Kubernetes clusters. Proficiency in Go programming, infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu, and Linux systems engineering, including scripting with Bash and Python, is also required. Familiarity with Redfish for data center hardware management is advantageous.
