Staff AI Solutions Engineer
The Staff AI Solutions Engineer at Checkr will lead AI enablement and solutions engineering across all departments, collaborating with teams to understand their workflows and develop tailored AI solutions. This role involves configuring and evaluating AI tools, building custom AI-powered solutions, and creating scalable workflows to enhance organizational efficiency. The engineer will also facilitate AI office hours, lead company-wide hackathons, and develop training materials to promote AI adoption throughout the company.
Key responsibilities include embedding with internal teams to gather requirements and identify high-impact AI use cases, evaluating and recommending AI tools, designing and deploying custom AI solutions, and developing reusable resources such as playbooks and workflow templates. The role also involves leading training sessions and workshops, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies, contributing to the AI strategy and roadmap, and advocating for AI adoption across the organization.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience, with a graduate degree being a plus. The role requires 5-7+ years of experience in engineering, solutions engineering, or technical enablement roles, and 4+ years of hands-on experience developing AI-centric products and solutions. Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI API are essential. Strong communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to lead enablement programs and translate business needs into technical solutions, are also required.
The position offers a competitive base salary range of $177,000 to $208,000 USD, along with benefits including 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage, up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services, a flexible PTO policy, and monthly wellness and home office stipends. The role is based in San Francisco, CA, with an expectation to work from the office three or more days a week, and in-office perks such as daily lunch, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages are provided.
