Eurofins Air Monitoring Belgium is seeking a Staalnemer / Meettechnieker Luchtemissies to join our team dedicated to enhancing air quality. Operating from our offices in Merelbeke (Gent) and Kuringen (Hasselt), we conduct measurements that assist companies in understanding and improving their environmental impact. As part of the Eurofins Scientific network, we provide data essential for environmental decisions, innovations, and sustainable solutions.
In this role, you will perform emission measurements at various client sites, including production facilities, energy plants, and waste processing installations. Your daily tasks involve traveling directly from home to client locations, utilizing advanced measurement techniques, and working closely with modern equipment. This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to contribute directly to better air quality.
Key responsibilities include conducting emission measurements on industrial sites, sometimes at elevated heights; operating, maintaining, and calibrating modern measurement equipment; collecting air samples and inputting measurement data; working independently or in small teams with a focus on accuracy and safety; and communicating findings and any changes to clients and colleagues on-site.
The ideal candidate possesses a technical background through education or experience, with prior experience in instrumental measurements being advantageous but not mandatory. You should be comfortable working at heights and outdoors, demonstrate flexibility and independence, and be proactive, problem-solving, and quality-conscious. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
