As a (Senior) Tender/Bid Manager at BESIX Nederland, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to secure and execute large-scale, complex building projects. BESIX Nederland is renowned for delivering iconic and technically challenging structures, including high-rise buildings and complex transformations. Your role will be pivotal in driving the company's growth ambitions within the utility construction sector.
In this position, you will be responsible for assembling and managing motivated tender teams, fostering a strong team spirit in collaboration with the executive, operational, and project management teams. You will coordinate with clients, partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders, ensuring constructive collaboration throughout the tender process. Your duties will include overseeing multiple tenders simultaneously, developing winning strategies to create competitive proposals, and sharing your expertise to guide the team in crafting comprehensive bid documents. Additionally, you will manage various disciplines within BESIX and joint ventures, such as project development, design, planning, installations, procurement, execution methods, legal and contractual matters, cost estimation, insurance, risk and project management, environmental management, and maintenance. Maintaining high standards for quality tenders and effectively interpreting client requirements will be essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree (WO) or equivalent experience (HBO or other) and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, particularly in the realization of large-scale (>80 million) utility and/or multidisciplinary building projects. Strong coordination skills, resilience under pressure, and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations are crucial. Proven commercial skills for establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with partners, adaptability to change, structured work habits, and the ability to meet deadlines are also required. Experience with procurement, design, and various contract forms such as UAV-2012, UAV-GC, DB(F)M(O), and possibly FIDIC is necessary. Fluency in Dutch (mandatory) and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
