Sr. Research Associate
The Senior Research Associate at Cellanome will execute comprehensive workflows on the Cellanome R3200 platform, supporting a range of service contracts from concierge to large-scale commercial projects. This role involves processing living cells through multi-day assays and converting them into sequencing-ready libraries, contributing to the company's mission of advancing biological research through innovative technologies.
Key responsibilities include preparing and assessing cell samples, setting up and monitoring instrument runs, overseeing automated library preparation, and performing final library quality control. The associate will follow standard operating procedures meticulously, document all steps and observations in real time using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and improve existing processes.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of laboratory experience, particularly with cell culture techniques and assays. Proficiency with laboratory automation and LIMS, especially Hamilton systems, is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail, the ability to follow protocols precisely, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $106,000 per year, with individual compensation determined by factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
