Sr. Real Estate Counsel - Renewables
Unison Infrastructure is a global investment firm specializing in telecom and renewable energy assets, managing over 2,200 sites across the United States and Europe. The company is seeking a Senior Real Estate Counsel to join its renewables division, playing a pivotal role in expanding its portfolio of renewable energy real estate assets. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with a dynamic team dedicated to sustainable infrastructure development.
The Senior Real Estate Counsel will lead efforts to support the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate transactions across the United States. Key responsibilities include managing a pipeline of deals, facilitating communication between pricing, origination, legal, and management teams, negotiating and drafting commercial real estate documents, overseeing due diligence activities, and advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters.
Candidates must possess 6-12 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, with tenure at both a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer. A comprehensive understanding of the financing, development, and operation of solar, wind, and battery projects is essential. Proficiency with technology and remote work environments is required. Applicants must hold a Juris Doctor degree and be in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state.
The base salary for this role ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and related skillset. Additional variable compensation is available above the base pay.
