Sr. Manager Legal
Delivery Hero, a leading global food delivery platform operating in over 70 countries, is seeking a Senior Legal Manager to oversee and streamline legal matters across its operations in Egypt. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and driving cost-efficient legal operations while consolidating legal insights from multiple subsidiaries. The position reports directly to the VP Legal & GRC and involves leading and coordinating a team of local legal managers and counsels.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic legal guidance to senior management on corporate governance, compliance, commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and litigation. The Senior Legal Manager will draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with Egyptian laws and the company's interests. Additionally, the role involves managing legal disputes, arbitrations, claims, investigations, and settlements to minimize business impact, as well as advising on employee contracts, workplace policies, and compliance with labor laws.
The ideal candidate will possess a law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and a valid license to practice in Egypt, with over 7 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, including proven leadership in a legal role. Prior in-house legal experience is preferred, along with strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate, commercial, employment, consumer protection, tax, and data privacy laws. Excellent drafting, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills in both Arabic and English are essential. A strategic mindset, in-depth legal knowledge, and a proactive approach to risk management are also required.
