Sr. Manager, DevOps and Infrastructure
Divergent is seeking a Senior Manager of DevOps and Infrastructure to lead and enhance the infrastructure, tooling, and developer experience that underpin our advanced manufacturing software platform. This role is pivotal in building a robust internal platform, empowering developers, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. The successful candidate will drive strategies to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and resilient, enabling our teams to operate with confidence and agility.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing a long-term strategy for infrastructure, deployment, and developer productivity. The role involves leading and expanding a high-performing DevOps team, collaborating closely with software developers to ensure applications are reliable, performant, and secure from inception. Additionally, the position requires designing and maintaining scalable, observable, and automated environments for development, testing, and production, as well as building internal tools and self-service capabilities to streamline engineering processes.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering, with at least two years in a managerial or leadership role. A strong architectural background in designing and scaling systems across development and production is essential. Proficiency with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, and Microsoft Azure is required, along with deep experience in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, monitoring/logging, and managing hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are also critical.
