The role involves hardware setup and configuration, identifying and resolving technical issues of moderate complexity, and collaborating with various departments to proactively address IT-related needs. Additionally, the specialist manages laboratory-related IT systems, oversees network administration tasks such as monitoring network health and data backups, and operates audio-video equipment and video conferencing applications.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in IT support and network administration within a Microsoft Windows environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Windows, server and network architecture, and VMware is essential. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across different time zones, and a commitment to staying current with the latest technologies are also required.

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 annually.
