Sr Embedded Software Engineer - ADAS / AD
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) team. This role focuses on developing and optimizing embedded platform software for our luxury electric vehicles, contributing to the advancement of autonomous driving technologies.
The successful candidate will design, develop, and optimize embedded platform software for automotive ADAS and autonomous driving systems. Responsibilities include performing board bring-up, developing low-level device drivers for SoC peripherals, leading camera bring-up activities, integrating video pipelines, and collaborating closely with hardware, systems, and application teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration. Additionally, the role involves supporting platform stability, performance optimization, and production readiness.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development for complex systems, with strong proficiency in C/C++. Hands-on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low-level platform development is required. Solid experience with board bring-up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs, is essential. Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) is also necessary.
Lucid Motors offers a competitive base salary ranging from $158,400 to $217,800 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
