The Senior Business Development Leader for the Science and Technology (S&T) Market at CannonDesign is a pivotal role focused on driving strategic growth and market expansion within the S&T sector. Operating at the firm-wide level, this position collaborates across various markets, business lines, and regional leadership to implement integrated growth strategies aligned with CannonDesign's strategic framework. The role is based remotely, with a preference for candidates in East Region locations, including Arlington, VA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; and New York City, NY.

Key responsibilities encompass activating the practice's strategic vision across offices, regions, and business lines, shaping market entry strategies, and developing client engagement plans. The leader is directly accountable for enabling the success of Regional Market Leaders and is expected to achieve a minimum of 10% year-over-year growth for the S&T practice. This includes sourcing $40-100 million annually through collaboration with regional market leaders and personally securing a minimum of $5 million in Net Signed Fees (NSF) each year through strategic pursuit identification and leadership. Additional duties involve leading strategic positioning for large, complex pursuits, building and mentoring high-performing leadership teams, cultivating client relationships, and representing the firm at national events and conferences.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have over 15 years of related experience, with a proven track record in strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development within the S&T market. Exceptional client and people leadership skills, strong presentation abilities, and a high level of business acumen are essential. The role requires the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams, as well as demonstrate sound judgment in risk management and mitigation. Some travel is required.

The salary range for this position is $166,400 to $208,000 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
