Spacecraft Test Engineer
Muon Space is seeking a Spacecraft Test Engineer to join our Assembly, Integration, and Test team. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of satellite systems, including design schematics, operations, manufacturing, testing, and flight. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to address production challenges, support prototype projects, and prepare flight hardware for satellite construction.
Key responsibilities include executing spacecraft integration and test flows, investigating non-conformances to determine root causes, and assisting in the setup and activation of production lines. The engineer will also support the development of flight hardware, ground support equipment, and qualification test assets, as well as perform bring-up and acceptance tests of PCBAs as required.
Candidates should possess a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with over five years of experience in the aerospace or a similar industry. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, C++, or SQL is essential. Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies, is required. A solid understanding of environmental testing methods, such as vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and thermal vacuum tests, is also necessary.
The salary range for this position is $123,000 to $139,000, complemented by a competitive equity grant and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
