Software Test Engineer (SONIC)
As a Software Test Engineer specializing in SONiC at Arista Networks, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness and quality of our networking products. Collaborating closely with software developers, field-facing teams, and product managers, you will represent customer use-cases and align testing efforts with real-world applications. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-performance, highly available network solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate Arista's features and products. You will develop test network topologies to assess functionality, performance, stability, and scalability. As an agile team member, you will participate in short development cycles, contributing to functional software iterations and providing customer-centric input during specification and design reviews.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of three years of networking experience. A minimum of one year of hands-on experience testing SONiC is essential, with a strong working knowledge of SONiC architecture, including SAI, FRR open routing stack, Redis-DB, Docker, and Minigraph. Proficiency in Linux operating systems and associated technologies, as well as expertise in networking protocols such as Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, and various routing protocols, is highly desired. Strong communication skills and experience with test automation tools and scripting languages are also beneficial.
Arista Networks offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $95,000 to $145,000, depending on location and experience.
