Software Test Engineer (Cloud)
Arista Networks is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our enterprise and cloud-managed WiFi products team. This role focuses on testing and validating complex cloud infrastructures that power WiFi networks, ensuring they perform at scale and meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and efficiency. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading products.
In this position, you will lead testing efforts on cloud infrastructures supporting WiFi networks, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience in various environments, including cloud and on-premise deployments. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing performance, scalability, and load tests to ensure cloud services can handle heavy traffic and provide reliable WiFi services under diverse conditions. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering teams to conduct integration tests for cloud-based services that interface with hardware, ensuring seamless interactions between cloud APIs and access points.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus. You should have 10 to 15 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting cloud technologies, virtualization, microservices, and debugging complex software. Proficiency in working with Hadoop and big data technologies such as HDFS, HBase, Spark, Kafka streaming, and Elasticsearch is essential. A strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including scalability, elasticity, availability, and fault tolerance, is also required. Excellent written and oral English communication skills are necessary.
Arista Networks offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $110,000 to $185,000 per year, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity.
