Software Release Program Manager
Vention is seeking an experienced Software Release Program Manager to oversee and coordinate the quarterly planning and releases of our software products, including the MachineMotion AI controller firmware and our cloud-based applications. This role is integral to ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of software updates that power over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories worldwide.
The Software Release Program Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the end-to-end release process for software updates related to our motion controllers and cloud applications. This includes collaborating closely with engineering, product management, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure release requirements and scopes are delivered on time. The role also involves identifying potential risks in the release process and developing proactive mitigation strategies, as well as continuously assessing and enhancing release management processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management, project/program management, or a related role. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Familiarity with both waterfall and agile development methodologies and tools, as well as experience with resource allocation and time tracking, are also important.
