Software Engineer - SONiC

Arista Networks is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) development team. This team is dedicated to building and qualifying features for some of the world's largest data center networks, focusing on delivering high-quality SONiC software for Arista switches.

In this role, you will be responsible for writing functional and design specifications, implementing solutions using C, C++, and Python, and developing automated test programs. Collaboration with Customer Support Engineers and System Test Engineers is essential to analyze and resolve issues, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable software.

Candidates should possess a BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, along with at least 3 years of relevant post-graduate experience. Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python, as well as knowledge of UNIX or Linux, is required. A solid understanding of L2/L3 networking, including IP routing protocols and Layer 2 features, is desirable.

Arista offers a competitive base salary ranging from $95,000 to $145,000, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellbeing programs, income protection, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
