Software Engineer, Risk Technology
Point72, a global alternative investment firm, is seeking a Software Engineer for its Risk Technology team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves enhancing the firm's IT infrastructure to support complex risk calculations and analytics. The team focuses on developing scalable reporting frameworks and innovative solutions to improve risk management processes.
As a Software Engineer in Risk Technology, you will build scalable reporting frameworks capable of processing terabytes of data for complex risk calculations. You will develop quantitative risk and performance analytics to proactively anticipate and address team requirements. Additionally, you will innovate and improve capabilities to deliver high-quality products to business partners and apply creative solutions to solve complex problems.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of programming experience in Python and/or functional languages. A strong understanding of equity factor models and their constructions and applications (e.g., MSCI Barra, Axioma, Bloomberg) is required. Training in computer science, math, physics, or a related technical field is essential. Experience in a quantitative environment with statistical models or complex aggregations is necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards are also important.
