Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Investor and Fund Administration Technology team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining technology solutions that support investor services and relations within the firm. In this position, the Software Engineer will design and implement software enhancements for investor and tax applications. Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to develop solutions using test-driven and agile methodologies, implementing best practices in software development such as code reviews and continuous integration, and designing cloud-based computing solutions to create scalable, cloud-native applications. The role also involves managing system upgrades, improving resiliency and capacity, automating controls, and integrating with internal and external vendors and services. Additionally, the engineer will work with DevOps teams to resolve operational issues and leverage CI/CD platforms while following DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of professional software development experience, focusing on Node.js, React, and TypeScript technologies. Proven experience in front-to-back-end design, strong skills in designing, optimizing, and modeling within complex application landscapes, and SQL development and debugging experience with relational databases are essential. Experience with building microservices, Kubernetes-based platforms, and AWS is also required. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and have excellent verbal communication abilities.
