Software Engineer
BESIX Unitec is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join our Infra Automation Netherlands division. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of energy and data networks, playing a vital role in automating large-scale infrastructure projects. Our mission is to provide comprehensive solutions encompassing design, engineering, operations, and maintenance, thereby building the infrastructure of the future.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with project teams to develop solutions based on client requirements and specifications. Your responsibilities will include programming control systems based on functional analyses, making necessary adjustments to existing installations, ensuring application quality, and resolving technical issues. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and managing new concepts, procedures, and standards, conducting complex tests and documentation, participating in product and solution roadmap meetings, and identifying and developing R&D subsidy dossiers to secure future operational resources.
The ideal candidate holds an HBO/WO degree in electromechanics or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Dutch and English is required, with French being a plus. A valid driver's license (B) is necessary. Technical skills should include knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens TIA Portal or Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert, SCADA systems like Siemens WinCCOA, Siemens WinCC, or VTScada. Familiarity with Enterprise Architect and a CCNA certification are advantageous.
