Software Engineer

Banyan Software is seeking a back-end Software Engineer to join Medicat, a company specializing in software solutions for college and university health centers. Medicat's platform, MedicatOne, assists campus clinics with appointment scheduling, care documentation, immunization compliance, secure student communication, and billing. The role is remote within the United States, offering an opportunity to contribute to a platform that serves over 500 campuses daily.

As a Software Engineer at Medicat, you will design and build integrations with external services, such as background check and drug testing providers. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining back-end services and RESTful APIs using C# modeling data, and writing efficient SQL Server queries. You will also enhance platform performance, reliability, and security, support production environments, and collaborate with product and front-end teams to shape technical designs.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of professional back-end software development experience, with strong proficiency in C#,.NET, and designing RESTful APIs. Solid SQL skills, preferably with SQL Server, are essential. Experience with AI-assisted coding tools, automated testing, and version control systems like Git is required. A computer science degree is preferred. Familiarity with healthcare, higher education, or regulated industries is advantageous.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from USD $110,000 to $130,000, complemented by an additional annual bonus. Compensation is influenced by factors such as market conditions, location, and individual qualifications.
