Software Engineer 5 (Golang, ReactJS, SQL, Perl)

As a Software Engineer 5 at Black Duck Software, Inc., you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding the maintenance and evolution of our industry-leading application security platform. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, including agile practices, cloud-native patterns, and AI tools like GitHub Copilot.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading multiple engineering teams, collaborating with architecture and product teams to define product vision and roadmaps, and overseeing large-scale projects to address critical customer and internal challenges. Additionally, you will inspire and mentor team members, providing coaching and technical training as needed, and stay abreast of industry best practices to help the team adopt effective strategies.

To be successful in this role, you should have over 10 years of experience developing large enterprise applications using microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies on platforms like Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP. Expertise in Golang, ReactJS, and some experience with Perl are essential, along with advanced SQL skills for writing complex queries and performance tuning. A solid understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and strong leadership and communication skills are also required.
