As a Software Engineer 4 at Black Duck Software, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing our industry-leading application security platform. This position is based in Bangalore and operates on a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office. You will join a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of web application development through agile practices and cloud-native patterns.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership to the engineering team, utilizing best practices for SaaS and related technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering innovative and complex technical solutions that benefit our customers, optimizing system performance, and helping to define development guidelines. Additionally, you will mentor team members, offering coaching and technical training as needed, and stay abreast of industry best practices to help the team adopt the right approaches.

The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience developing large enterprise applications using microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies, running on Kubernetes and/or cloud platforms. Expertise in full-stack development with Golang and React is required, along with proficiency in SQL variants, preferably PostgreSQL. A solid understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and strong problem-solving abilities are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to think strategically are also important for this role.
