Software Development Engineer in Manufacturing Test
Arista Networks is seeking a self-motivated and team-oriented Software Development Engineer to drive and sustain product development through manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with Engineering, Platform Design, Contract Manufacturing Partners, and other business functions to develop test software that validates high-speed digital designs, ensuring high yields in manufacturing Arista's networking products used in large data centers.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing test scripts for final system testing of switches using languages such as Python and Go, creating web-based GUI interfaces for production test infrastructure using frameworks like Django and databases like MariaDB, and managing the procurement and release of testing infrastructure. The engineer will also participate in defect reduction initiatives, improve manufacturing test processes, and provide technical support for systemic defects and quality issues.
The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with 2-5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in manufacturing. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly in Python and/or Go, foundational knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts, experience with SQL databases, and familiarity with version control systems like Perforce or Git are essential. Experience with web-based GUI development using Django and MariaDB, as well as knowledge of hardware product testing, is advantageous.
The base salary for this position ranges from $116,000 to $146,000, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
