Software Developer - WiFi
Arista Networks is seeking a Software Developer to join its WiFi team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge, cloud-managed WiFi solutions. This team is responsible for the end-to-end development of Arista's WiFi product portfolio, including the design and implementation of new Access Points and features. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within a company recognized for its leadership in data-driven, client-to-cloud networking solutions.
In this position, the developer will collaborate closely with various teams to understand product requirements, design solutions, build software, and deliver it for final validation and customer deployment. Responsibilities include developing new Access Points, designing and implementing new features, tracking emerging technologies, and working with sales and customer teams to address needs and resolve escalations. The role encompasses a broad range of tasks, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work experience.
Candidates should possess strong engineering and computer science fundamentals, with 3 to 15 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages and experience working in a Linux environment are essential. Additionally, expertise in areas such as network device drivers, operating system internals, kernels, compilers, SOC architecture, or user-space development for connectivity-related products is required. Experience with Wi-Fi device drivers on Linux, hands-on work with WiFi chipset platforms, and a solid understanding of Wireless AP functionality are preferred.
