Software AI Engineer (BI)
Eurofins is seeking a Software AI Engineer to join our BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) division, the largest network of bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories worldwide. This role is integral to the development of the Eurofins Quality Management System (eQMS), a sophisticated web application designed to manage quality and compliance processes for our scientists, engineers, and technicians. The position reports directly to an Engineering Manager and is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
The Software AI Engineer will be responsible for developing applications utilizing Azure-based services and AI platforms. Key tasks include working with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage (Blob, Queue), Azure Key Vault, Service Bus Queue, Azure Cosmos DB, Application Insights, and Azure AI Foundry. The role involves data processing and service development using Python, implementing Azure AI Search for indexing and querying, and working with large language model (LLM) embeddings and vector databases. Additionally, the engineer will design and integrate REST APIs, ensuring secure service integration, and apply object-oriented programming principles to develop robust solutions.
Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of experience in developing applications with Azure services and AI platforms. Proficiency in Python for data processing and service development is essential, along with hands-on experience with Azure AI Search and LLM embeddings. A strong understanding of document chunking, embeddings, semantic search concepts, and object-oriented programming principles is required. Familiarity with code review processes, version control systems like Git, and best practices in programming are also necessary. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences are highly valued.
Desirable qualifications include experience with frontend development technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Knowledge of web application development C#, MVC, and Web API is advantageous. Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, prompt engineering, AI evaluation techniques, machine learning, Azure ML Studio, and front-end performance optimization techniques are also beneficial. A good working knowledge of databases like MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and MSSQL is preferred.
