Eurofins ARS PROBATA, a leading certification body for food safety systems in Germany and part of the international Eurofins network, is seeking a freelance Social Compliance Auditor. This role involves conducting independent social compliance audits in production facilities and supply chains, focusing on labor rights, occupational safety, and ethical sourcing, primarily within Germany and occasionally in other European countries.
Key responsibilities include thorough preparation and examination of documentation prior to audits, delivering clear and timely audit reports in English, professionally communicating findings to clients on-site, and verifying corrective actions. The auditor is expected to stay updated on international standards such as ILO, SA8000, BSCI, and RBA, as well as national labor laws, while adhering to Eurofins' code of conduct and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Candidates should possess a degree in law, social sciences, human resources, occupational safety, or a related field. An APSCA certification as a Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA) is desirable. A minimum of three years' experience in social compliance audits or related activities is required, along with knowledge of international labor standards and human rights issues. Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills are essential, as is proficiency in MS Office. Fluency in German (C1 level) and very good English skills are necessary; additional languages are advantageous. The role demands high travel readiness and flexibility within Germany and occasionally abroad, as well as integrity, intercultural sensitivity, and the ability to work independently.
