Snowflake & Data Platform Operations Engineer

LendingTree is seeking a Snowflake & Data Platform Operations Engineer to join our Platform Operations team. This role focuses on automating, scaling, and supporting our cloud-based data ecosystem, including Snowflake and AWS/Azure services. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work schedule (Tuesday-Thursday in-office), and a strong preference for candidates who are local or willing to relocate.

Key responsibilities include managing Snowflake environments, implementing security policies (RBAC), and optimizing performance and cost efficiency. The engineer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments using GitLab and tools like Liquibase or Red Gate. Additionally, the role involves supporting integrations between Snowflake and cloud services, maintaining batch and streaming architectures (Confluent Kafka), and ensuring data observability and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and database performance tuning. Proficiency in AWS or Azure, building CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, and supporting Kafka (streaming) and ETL/ELT workflows is essential. Strong scripting skills in Python, SQL, or Bash, familiarity with Git-based workflows, and the ability to diagnose complex issues across distributed cloud systems are also required.
