Your primary responsibilities will include presenting the AI with realistic small business scenarios and operational challenges. You will evaluate AI outputs related to budgeting, pricing, marketing strategies, hiring decisions, vendor management, customer communications, and compliance considerations. Assessing the practicality and alignment of AI responses with actual small business operations is key. Additionally, you will document reproducible errors and provide structured feedback to refine prompts, evaluation criteria, and real-world applicability.

Candidates should have direct experience owning or co-owning a small business. Experience in managing operations, finances, marketing, staffing, or growth strategy is highly relevant. Both new business owners and seasoned entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply. Clear, metacognitive communication—explicitly articulating how and why decisions are made in a real business context—is essential.

Compensation ranges from $6 to $65 per hour, determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, you will need to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply.
