Site Reliability Engineer - Cybersecurity
The Site Reliability Engineer - Cybersecurity role at xAI focuses on ensuring the security and reliability of the X Money platform, with additional responsibilities extending to the X Social platform. This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of xAI's financial and social services, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance system resilience.
Key responsibilities include building and securing mission-critical applications in a hybrid cloud environment, managing identities and roles effectively, and monitoring infrastructure to comply with regulations such as PCI and NIST CSF. The role also involves maintaining a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, designing secure container standards, and developing dashboards and alerts from security metrics.
Candidates must have proven experience securing hybrid AWS/on-premises environments, strong proficiency in Python, Terraform, and Puppet, and deep expertise in Kubernetes and container security. Hands-on experience with security scanning tools like Semgrep, Trivy, and Falco is essential, along with a proactive mindset and excellent critical thinking abilities. Applicants should be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
