Services Manager
The Services Manager at BESIX Watpac plays a pivotal role in overseeing the design and implementation of building services across various projects. This position is integral to the Building Works department, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, security, ICT, and hydraulic systems are designed and executed to meet the company's high standards. Key responsibilities include managing the design documentation for building services, collaborating closely with Project Managers to align documentation with specifications, budgets, and construction schedules. The role also involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, assisting with product selection, and solving problems to achieve optimal value. Monitoring the production of workshop drawings, overseeing installation and commissioning, and participating in the final handover process are also critical aspects of this position.
Candidates should possess qualifications in a relevant engineering or trade discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing complex building services packages on large-scale projects. A solid understanding of statutory legislation and Australian Standards related to building services is essential. Effective leadership skills are required to develop strong relationships with team members, consultants, and subcontractors.
