ServiceNow Senior Developer
The ServiceNow Senior Developer at Clifford Chance is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and developing the firm's IT Service Management tool, ServiceNow. This role involves collaborating with process owners and key stakeholders to translate requirements into live implementations, supporting an aggressive service management roadmap focused on self-service, automation, and orchestration initiatives. The position is integral to the Service Management Team, working closely with the wider IT team and business users of custom applications.
Key responsibilities include delivering the service management roadmap by implementing self-service, automation, and orchestration initiatives. The developer will scrutinize change requests to ensure they maximize value to the firm and its clients, maintain a comprehensive understanding of all service management processes and their integration with ServiceNow, and provide practical input to process owners to rationalize and improve requirements. Additionally, the role involves serving as an escalation point for ServiceNow administrators, ensuring technical documentation and training materials are current, and adhering to change management policies to thoroughly test bug fixes and upgrades before production release.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical development skills in ServiceNow, problem-solving abilities, and project management capabilities to handle multiple work streams simultaneously. They should have experience interacting with global teams and have performed similar roles with ServiceNow for a user base of approximately 600 IT system users and 80 bespoke application users. Proficiency in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM Pro, SAM and HAM Pro, custom applications, third-party integrations, Employee Centre, and ServiceNow Mobile Apps is essential. A deep knowledge of JavaScript, web design, server-side programming, data structures, HTML, CSS, and Ajax methodology is also required. The candidate should be ITIL Foundation certified, ideally with additional ITIL lifecycle stream certificates, and hold relevant ServiceNow development and implementation certifications.
