The Service Engineer will support a growing pharmaceutical client facility by performing the setup, validation, preventative maintenance, and repair of laboratory instrumentation. This role is integral to ensuring the optimal performance of equipment used in critical analyses, including ELISAs, capillary electrophoresis, gel instrumentation, HPLCs, and balances. Key responsibilities include commissioning and decommissioning laboratory equipment, conducting assessments, troubleshooting, and performing repairs. The Service Engineer will also execute validation testing, providing technical and risk-based rationales to support methodologies. Additionally, the role involves compiling and analyzing validation data, drafting reports, and recommending improvements. Developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and coordinating validation change controls are also essential duties.

Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field, such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, or biotechnology, along with a minimum of three years of direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Proficiency in setting up, qualifying, validating, and troubleshooting instrument systems, including those from Sciex, Beckman Coulter, and SoftMax Pro, is required. Experience operating analytical equipment related to ELISAs, capillary electrophoresis, gel instrumentation, HPLCs, and balances is essential. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with technical writing (IQ/OQ/PQs, CAPAs, Change Controls), data management, and report creation, are necessary. Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and the physical ability to lift and transport equipment in various lab environments are also required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $115,000 per year, based on education and directly related experience.
