Service Assistant, Plainview
The Service Assistant position at Lucid Motors in Plainview, NY, is integral to ensuring the seamless daily operations of the service team. Key responsibilities include providing a world-class customer experience to all Lucid clients, both internal and external. The Service Assistant will handle vehicle drives, such as dropping off or picking up customer vehicles and loaners, conducting runs to the body shop, and performing test charging at Electrify America stations. Additional duties involve arranging Lyft rides for internal vehicle moves, assisting with Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) carrier preparation and vehicle hand-over, and supporting technicians with basic repairs in the shop. Other tasks may include moving and staging vehicles, delivering parts, washing vehicles, and assisting the service department as needed.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess basic automotive knowledge. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and stand or walk for extended periods. A valid driver's license with no suspensions in the past year is required. Additionally, candidates must be willing to obtain forklift certification and complete CPR training provided by Lucid post-hire.
Lucid Motors offers a competitive compensation package for this position, with an hourly base pay range of $23 to $33. Employees are also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. Additionally, successful candidates may participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to company performance and other factors.
