SEO Content Specialist - Spain
Canva is seeking a dedicated SEO Content Specialist to join its International SEO team in Spain. This role focuses on creating and managing engaging, SEO-optimized content that informs, inspires, and converts local audiences. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Spain SEO Lead and local team to develop culturally relevant content that aligns with Canva's mission to empower users worldwide.
Key responsibilities include championing content requirements for landing pages and blog articles, maintaining an up-to-date editorial calendar, and publishing plan. The specialist will create and edit SEO-optimized content on various design topics, ensuring alignment with the SEO team's strategy and resonance with local audiences. Additionally, the role involves uploading and publishing content that adheres to the latest SEO best practices and fits the local tone of voice, as defined by language managers. Regular tracking and optimization of landing pages to maintain freshness, improve content credibility, and enhance user engagement are also essential duties.
The ideal candidate will possess native Spanish proficiency with business-level English. Proven experience in SEO content writing or content marketing, demonstrated through a successful portfolio, is required. Strong copywriting and copy editing skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback to other writers, are essential. Experience with editorial planning and publishing content in a content management system (CMS) is necessary. A solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, such as keyword optimization, content structure, user intent, and how content fits within a broader SEO strategy, is crucial. Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar platforms is considered a bonus.
