Sensory Panel Leader
The Sensory Panel Leader at Eurofins is responsible for coordinating, training, and overseeing sensory panels to ensure the accurate and consistent collection of sensory data for product evaluation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, ensuring panelist performance, and delivering actionable insights to support product development, quality assurance, and consumer research.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and training sensory panelists, leading daily panel sessions while ensuring adherence to protocols, and monitoring panelist performance to maintain consistency and reliability. The leader will also deliver refresher training, foster a positive panel environment, maintain up-to-date training records, and ensure correct sample preparation and environmental controls. Operating sensory software tools and maintaining testing facilities according to standard operating procedures are also essential duties.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in food science or a related discipline, with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a sensory or quality assurance environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for coaching panelists and coordinating with teams. High attention to detail, data accuracy, and comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment are also required.
